Who we are

Nerd Nation LLC (“Nerd Nation,” “we,” “us”) operates nerdnation.us and retail stores at 6224 Nieman Rd, Shawnee, Kansas 66203 and 900 Hayes Dr, Ste C, Manhattan, Kansas 66502. By using the website, placing an order, joining OnlyNerds, or submitting a trade-in, you agree to these terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for the information you give us and for activity on your account. Keep your login private and tell us at store@nerdnation.us if you think someone else is using it. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to buy, sell, or join OnlyNerds.

Buying from Nerd Nation

• Products and condition. Most items are pre-owned. Each listing shows the condition you are buying, and product photos are the item in our store unless the listing says otherwise. Condition terms are explained in our Condition Guidelines.
• Prices and stock. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Our stock is shared with our stores, so an item can sell in store before your order is pulled. If we cannot fill an item, we cancel that item and refund what you paid for it.
• Errors. If a price or listing is clearly wrong, we may cancel the affected item and refund it, even after you order.
• Payment. Card payments are processed by Square. Card numbers are entered into Square and are not stored by Nerd Nation. Store credit on your account can be applied at checkout.
• Tax. Sales tax is calculated at checkout from the rate for the store that has the item.

Shipping and pickup

Shipping is one flat charge for the order and is free when the merchandise that is shipping reaches the free-shipping amount shown at checkout. We ship to the continental United States only. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and PO boxes are not eligible. Local pickup is free at the store that has your items; wait for the ready-for-pickup email and bring a photo ID. Returns and refunds

• Returns are accepted within 7 days of purchase or delivery with a receipt or order confirmation.
• If the item is not defective, the return is store credit for the price of the item. You pay the shipping to send it back.
• If the item is defective, damaged in shipping, or not what you ordered, we refund it in cash or to the original card, including tax, and we pay the return shipping.
• Items marked final sale are not returnable.

OnlyNerds membership

OnlyNerds is a paid monthly membership. The price, member discounts, and shipping benefit are shown on the OnlyNerds page when you join. Member discounts do not stack with a better sale price. The membership renews automatically each month and your card is charged until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; member pricing stops right away and the next charge is canceled. Membership fees already charged are not refunded for a partial month.

Selling and trading to Nerd Nation

Trade-in offers are based on current market data and the condition you select. Offers can change based on the condition we find at inspection, market movement, or catalog errors. You must own the items you sell to us and have the right to sell them. We may refuse any item.

Mailed-in trade-ins are also covered by our Trade-In Terms, which explain inspection, deduction review, when ownership transfers, and return shipping. Condition definitions are in our Condition Guidelines.

Text messages

If you choose Text as your contact method and agree, we send transactional texts about your trade-in status, offers, and prepaid shipping labels. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Texting is optional. Full details are in our SMS Terms.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Using the website

Do not misuse the website, including scraping it in bulk, interfering with checkout or other customers’ orders, placing fraudulent orders, or submitting items you do not own. We may cancel orders, refuse trade-ins, or close accounts involved in fraud or abuse. Nerd Nation’s name, logo, photos, and site content belong to us. Game, console, and card names and artwork belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products we sell.

Warranties and liability

Apart from the return rights above and any rights you have under law that cannot be waived, items are sold in the condition described on the listing. To the extent the law allows, Nerd Nation’s total liability for any order or trade-in is limited to the amount you paid us or we paid you for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas. If you have a problem, contact us first and we will try to resolve it.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and the terms in effect when you place an order or submit a trade-in apply to it. Questions:
